The Owl's Nest began in 1979 to provide a successful and happy environment for pre-school aged children. Your child will be encouraged to attain new skills, form good habits and learn to be a responsible member of a group. Our wonderful teachers provide a full, happy and flexible program for children who are ready for many exciting experiences. Each child will be given the opportunity to explore and interact with a variety of materials. Our teachers provide a fun way to explore through creative art activities, dramatic play, science experiences and music and movement.
Monthly and daily routines:
Our monthly units are themed in accordance with centers and projects. The themes are chosen based on the season, teaching goals, and availability of resources. The curriculum stresses kindergarten readiness by working with letters (recognition, sound and writing, along with number (recognition by counting to 100 often and writing) Theme is allotted each day for both individual and small group experiences. The primary goal of The Owl's Nest is to make school a happy, structured environment where your child will practice listening skills, build social, emotional and communication skills, and fine gross and motor skills.
