Summerfield Academy is an exceptional and unique preschool in Spring, Texas serving children six weeks to eleven years of age, celebrating 37 years in the community. Founded in 1985, the academy has been privately owned for 10 yearsby one of the first students who attended, April Lord Ruzicka. Summerfield Academy is one of the longest standing, privately owned, preschools in the community. Each age group has its own literature-based curriculum specifically geared to the age-appropriate developmental skills of children. The teachers select books on which to develop the lesson theme and utilize the stories to present concepts pertinent to the class. Incorporated in the curriculum are opportunities for music, creative art, learning centers, directed activities, and outdoor fun.
