Hi, my name is Shandria, I'm 35 years old and always wanted to be a Pediatrician growing up as well as loving to teach. I'm a very clean, organized, structured person and want nothing but the best for a child as if he/she was my own. After I becamemarried and having my daughter in 2003, my husband wanted me to be a stay at home mother to take care and teach our daughter. I loved being there and teaching her to be prepared for life to come. It was so amazing the joy I felt knowing I installed something great in her life that will always be there. I've realize throughout the years after having my children and trying to go back to Tidewater Community College and Teaching at a Daycare facility, that my children still needed me. My career going to college was put on hold and working outside the home. I was okay with this because I knew what I wanted to do. I started out taking care of my friends' children and before you knew it, I was getting recommendations. That's where it all began; after doing research, I found out that I can be an In Home Childcare Provider. I wanted to make parents feel safe, assure them that everything will be great and that their child(ren) are in good hands. Every child I've taken care of have been nothing but a part of our family and it's always sad to see them leave, whether it's for school for the first time or just mom/dad deciding to be a stay at home mother or father. I've been married for 15 years now, I have 2 children, a 15 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. I provide care for infants to 12 years of age. I have years of experience and very pleased to offer my services to parents who need help. I also home school my 15 year old daughter and teach 3 & 4 year old class at the church I attend. I'm CPR Certified and love children and have my Child Development Associate (CDA). My hours are 7 am-4 pm, Monday-Friday (adjustment can be made) and $175 a week.
