My First Steps Child Care

With over 10 years of childcare experience, Sonia L. Pacheco, owner of My First Steps Child Care, has systematically created a child-friendly setting and safe environment for the children in her child care center. As a Family Child Care Coordinator at alocal day care center, Sonia has gained knowledge of the inner workings of both the NYS Dept. of Health, and of the Home Child Care Centers in her program. She is very knowledgeable about the standards and expectations of running a successful child care setting, and has employed these characteristics at her very own location. Our child care setting is equipped with age-appropriate books, puzzles, manipulative toys, and dramatic play materials to aid your child's development. Regular story-time, circle time, and arts and crafts activities are scheduled throughout the week to enhance and reinforce your child's learning. In addition to academic enhancement, your child will be able to take advantage of an encouraging, socially nurturing atmosphere with children varying in different age groups. Together, children will learn from each other and gain the basic social skills that will aid them throughout their primary school career, and later on in life. Our child care setting is arranged to safely cater to each age group without limiting their social interactions.
