Life Spectrum is an insured and bonded residential service agency. Our qualified, experienced and carefully evaluated Caregivers provide Medication Management, Compassionate Personal Care and Companion services to aged, disabled, convalescent or handicapped adults at home or an alternative setting. The director is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience in managed healthcare and healthcare insurance. She also maintains certification in case management and earned a Master of Science degree in HealthService Administration. The primary goal is to make certain our clients receive quality care and are satisfied with our service. <br/><br/>Following a complimentary in-person nurse assessment and with authorization, a client is admitted and receives a personalized care plan initiated by a certified medication aide, nurse assistant or companion. All services are supervised and monitored by a registered nurse (RN) who periodically re-assesses the care plan for appropriateness.<br/><br/>Under our Medication Management option, the Certified Medication Aide dispenses oral, inhalation and topical medication to the client, as prescribed. The aide will observe the client for drug reactions and will report any problems to the RN for further management. The aide will calculate and ensure correct medication dosages and will monitor the client for adverse changes, including vital signs. The aide will record the daily medications given and any additional pertinent information. <br/><br/>Personal Care Services by an Aide may include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility/positioning, medication reminders. Nurse Aides and Companions may provide light housekeeping, meal preparation and may accompany clients on errands, to medical appointments and to social outings. Companion Care may include grooming and dressing guidance. <br/><br/>Case Management is a separate service provided by a Certified Case Manager acting as an advocate. Following a comprehensive assessment, the Care Manager works directly with the client's health care provider to assist in enhancing medical outcomes and to navigate the complex healthcare system. Clients who may benefit from care management include those with multiple medical conditions, taking multiple medications and/or under the care of multiple physicians.
