Good Start Home Child Care

2150 Tessmer Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103

About

I am an active grandmother who recently retired early to help care for my 3-year-old granddaughter in my home. I would love to have another child or two for her to play with, as I believe social interaction is just as vital to a child's development aseducation. I have completed classes in education while working on my Bachelor's degree, and am CPR/First Aid certified. I provide snacks and lunch. I provide a comfortable, safe, and nurturing environment that encourages exploration and discovery as well as routine and structure, while fostering individual expression and development. My daughter is a certified teacher (pre-K and elementary), and will be collaborating with me to ensure a rich and individualized educational experience. I believe that learning is best achieved through play and exploration. At this age, I feel kids should be allowed to be kids. I truly enjoy children, and have raised 2 lovely children of my own. I would love the opportunity to be a part of your child's life!Read more
