Dux Daycare

For the past two years, I have worked as a full time private nanny for 3 young children, whose present ages are 2, 6, & 7. This experience had been tremendously educational and rewarding. Upon request, this family may provide a detailed reference on my behalf.

Prior to this, I received an undergraduate degree in psychology from UNC Chapel Hill and masters degree in mental health counseling from Boston University School of Medicine. After completing my education, I worked for two years as a trauma therapist for a south shore mental health agency, where I provided counseling to both children & families. The job was emotionally intense, ever-challenging and eye-opening. It ultimately led me to the realization that I want to promote healthy lifestyles for children & families.

There's been no looking back since. I'm now working from home, operating Dux Daycare - a licensed, insured daycare for infants & toddlers that emphasizes positive health behaviors; local & organic eating; eco-friendly practices; and Montessori-inspired learning & play activities. I am now accepting full & part time, and my schedule is as follows:

Starting August 29, 2011, I will operate on the local school schedule, open M-F from 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. I am also running a summer program starting July 11 - August 12, 2011, M-F, 7 a.m. -5 p.m. Ideal childcare for local teachers, school employees, or parents who work from home.
