Founded in 1986, Community Care Companions, Inc. was a non-medical companion care agency specializing in hourly and live-in care. Seeing the need for a higher level of care, Community Care became licensed with the New York State Department of Health. This license enabled the company to handle a higher level of care and skilled care such as home health aides and Skilled Nursing. We treat our clients with integrity and respect at all times. We are passionate about the care we provide our clients. Our goal is to improve community outreach and let people know we genuinely care about their quality of life. We go above and beyond the "requirements" of our service to help meet the goals of the clients and their families. We understand that home care is a financial burden on families. That's why we develop a relationship with our caregivers before placing them with clients, thereby reducing turnover and enabling us to keep client costs low. Caregivers are specifically selected to meet the needs of our clients. Assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to address any needs that may arise. Community Care only places caregivers we would have caring for our own family members.

I had an aide from Community care which turned out to be the worst action I allowed
That is not to say that there are some wonderful sides however my experience just turned into a horror show
I was extremely generous to my aide giving her things for her apt etc Howrver very soon I realized she was not the person I thought I knew
I let her borrow beautiful clothes which in term se sold to a thrift store
She also lied about so many things until I caught her
Like I said I am sure there are great aides however she was not
It is possible though that I am not a great person to have an aide as I have been taking care of everything myself for 40 years
Anyway I am just glad it's over
I will not tell you her name but perhaps the agency would

I have been working for Community Care HHS for a year and have found everyone to be extremely passionate, dedicated and professional. The owners are very involved and absolutely care about their staff and their clients. We have a great team and I am proud to be part of this team. Not only do we provide great care and service we provide community resources and education because we care.

Bluetooth, laptop, non-stop texting .... the norm not the exception for some of the aides

Could write a short story on the lack of professionalism with this agency and the countless opportunities they've had to rectify the issues, but it's best summed up very simply by saying Buyer Beware.

Management team is non-responsive. Very simply, they do not care. You can leave countless messages for any member of that group to return your call and they will not do so. Two branch managers and on-call supervisor all departed in last 30 days.

Clueless and uncaring about their aides. Every department has issues, from coordination to nursing. Few return calls to address problems with patients, policy, or payroll.

Completely Unprofessional Agency! The administration was very rude and short in their communication and attitudes towards their employees. This agency is a complete waste of time they treat their employees so bad That they either quit or get fired after a few weeks.

The agency is not professional when I ask for any documents that I need to prove for the NY state Goverment. They are very late and don't care about the employees

I was with them 3 years and MOVED on to another agency..They pay the HHA the lowest hourly rate in the industry as a result attract low quality people..very profit driven..Poorly run.. : (
