I have a Bachelor's in Music. My Master's is in Early Childhood Education with Special Ed approval. Until budget cuts, I taught at an early learning center in West Chicago District #33. I have worked at day care centers and had a licensed family childcare for 10 years. I have re-licensed my home for daycare. Being a mother has taught many life experiences that I use in the daycare.

I enjoy being part of a child's learning and development. My activities and program are integrated with music, art, literacy, problem-solving, and outside activities. Pre-readiness skills are incorporated into all activities and I believe each child be given opportunities to take risks. This is when I observe children take steps in their development. There will be plenty of opportunities to practice getting along with others, sharing, cooperating and having empathy for others. Positive guidance, modeling, nurturing, interaction toward others, and an appropriate physical environment are strategies that help children grow.
