For patient I visited regularly, I heard from him, that it was like "home". He was encourage to send for meaningful artfacts from home. The nurses were always, professional, aware, available while giving privacy for visits. The home was clean, patients comfortable, small enough to be personal while respecting boundaries. Both as assisted living and hospice patient prompt appropriate care was given.
