Allow me to introduce myself!

My background in childcare began at a very early age as the eldest of five siblings.

I believe that being "big brother" has given me a true passion for helping others, and for working with children. That passion hasled me across the world doing humanitarian relief work. (Mostly with underprivileged children) It is a truly rewarding experience to be able to come alongside children living in those conditions, and be able to bring a smile into their lives. But also, one does not need to travel hundreds of miles to find opportunities to help. I also thoroughly enjoy the time I spend assisting the children's ministry at my church. I can often be found teaching first or second grade, or assisting in the "toddlers room". Older children are not beyond me either though. As an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, and later as an adult leader, I had the opportunity to supervise, lead, and teach many adolescent young men. My current occupation as a hardwood flooring installer has a very scattered schedule and I often find myself with "slow" work seasons. I have little passion for that work though, so my hope to use my spare time to build a childcare/babysitting business capable of replacing my day job. I have chosen to list this profile as a "family child care" as this allows me to contact a broader spectrum of job offerings. (Including those described as "nanny" positions) Even if perhaps it would be more accurate to call what I offer, "babysitting". I have my own transportation, I also cook, clean, and quite handy around a household.
