Allow me to introduce myself!

My background in childcare began at a very early age as the eldest of five siblings.

I believe that being "big brother" has given me a true passion for helping others, and for working withchildren. That passion has led me across the world doing humanitarian relief work. (Mostly with underprivileged children) It is a truly rewarding experience to be able to come alongside children living in those conditions, and be able to bring a smile into their lives. <br/> <br/>But also, one does not need to travel hundreds of miles to find opportunities to help. I also thoroughly enjoy the time I spend assisting the children's ministry at my church. I can often be found teaching first or second grade, or assisting in the &quot;toddlers room&quot;. <br/> <br/>Older children are not beyond me either though. As an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, and later as an adult leader, I had the opportunity to supervise, lead, and teach many adolescent young men. <br/> <br/>My current occupation as a hardwood flooring installer has a very scattered schedule and I often find myself with &quot;slow&quot; work seasons. I have little passion for that work though, so my hope to use my spare time to build a childcare/babysitting business capable of replacing my day job. <br/> <br/>I have chosen to list this profile as a &quot;family child care&quot; as this allows me to contact a broader spectrum of job offerings. (Including those described as &quot;nanny&quot; positions) Even if perhaps it would be more accurate to call what I offer, &quot;babysitting&quot;. I have my own transportation, I also cook, clean, and quite handy around a household.
