I have been a math teacher in Denver since 2015. I have taught grades 8 - 12. I am well-versed in and have taught the following subjects: Middle School Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. I am a patient teacher and it is important to me that students are able to construct their own meaning.

I greatly enjoy teaching/tutoring to establish or improve basic and advanced understanding and capabilities in any learner. I have tutored middle-school, high-school and college students in the areas of algebra, calculus and engineering. I was a volunteer tutor for the JETS (Junior Engineering Technical Society) program in the Denver Public Schools. I have written several interactive graphical applets that demonstrate various mathematical and engineering/science concepts. I believe learning is fun and critical to healthy development, and that knowledge is best when shared. I aspire to apply my math, engineering, scientific, and computing background to foster knowledge and enthusiasm in students.

Hello! I am a big fan of STEM classes and showing kids how cool/fun math and science can be. I'm also an experienced math tutor with an engineering degree. I recently graduated from CSU with a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering, a math minor, and a 3. 793 GPA. I also have worked as a course assistant at the PACe center for the past three years for CSU's math department. The PACe center provides the curriculum for college algebra, logarithmic and exponential functions, numerical trigonometry, and analytic trigonometry. The courses are all online so the school provides a tutoring center where students can come in and work on their coursework and ask questions when needed. I worked as a tutor for three years at the PACe center and have ample experience teaching a diverse group of students. Since the PACe curriculum was also online, I am aware of the difficulties students may have with online-only learning and know how to push through this.

I am a reliable, patient, and flexible tutor with 2 years of experience tutoring math (pre-algebra through calculus), biology, and chemistry. I recently graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama and am excited to continue tutoring students in the subjects I am so passionate about.
