I have a passion for working with children and consider myself a bit of a kid whisperer. My experience & credentials come from the fact that I have had just about every mentor & educational role imaginable with children including baby-sitting at 10, childcare centers & camp counseling in my college years, plus live-in nanny, substitute teaching & private tutor in my twenties. This home-based preschool program is inspired & influenced by Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf. As such I use a blend of the creative through yoga, arts, and Music Together Worldwide with play based exposure to foundational skills for school. We have a piano, 2 guitars, and other instruments. Our backyard & garden provides options for outdoor activities like sprinklers, water table, play dough, kinectic sand, bubbles, etc. Option for up to 4 days per week. Flexible timing would be school hours with the option for after care starting at 2:00 although it would be educational programing or online reading & math. Preschool would run September to June and follow the FVSD school schedule for holidays & breaks. Currently until I'm a licensed home-based preschool I can only work for 1 family. This spot is exclusive, and as such, rate is competitively priced for one family as a private teacher with siblings included.
