Some things I am interested in are soccer, caring for children, swimming, coaching, hiking, and the ocean. I also enjoy spending time with my family, especially with my nephews. :) I have been caring for children for a little over 10 years now. I started off babysitting a set of twins who were, at the time, newborns, and watched them until they were 6 years old regularly, about 2-3 times a week. In high school I worked for a school district as an ESS Leader. I worked with a variety of age groups, all elementary school children, but worked mainly with the 2nd and 3rd graders. In this job we would work on homework, do arts and crafts, play organized sports outside, play educational games, and put on shows, plays, chorus performances, etc. After I graduated, while attending college, I worked as a nanny for three children, two of which had special needs. One child, who was 6 when I started working with him, was autistic. One, who was 8 when I started, had Down syndrome, and their sister was 7. I worked with them for 4 years. With them, we would do learning games, flashcards, homework, play soccer, swim, all kinds of things. I also lived with them, as their mother was a single parent, so I helped with cooking, cleaning, and errands.
