Experienced Part-Time Childcare Available Mornings & Early Afternoons

(4)
I am an experienced mother of 3 sons in Arlington with 15+ years of childcare experience. In addition to my own children, I have been caring for children from newborn to toddlers and preschoolers, and have experience with multiples. I am a non-smoker, have a clean record, both driving and otherwise, and have been CORI for school & sports. I am certified in the American Heart Association's Heart Saver CPR with AED for adults, children & infants. I also have experience with food allergies & Epi-pens. I am caring, responsible, and very patient. I will give your child one-on-one care. I will play with them on the floor. I will take them for walks, read, sing, and talk with them. I will hold them and rock him or her if they are crying or having a tough time falling asleep and I will sit and hold them while I feed him or her. While I work for a family, their children (or child) are cared for in a warm and loving way and given the individual attention that a parent would give.

We feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have benefited from Andrea's love and attention in caring for our children the last 4 years. She has the patience of a saint and a heart of gold. Both of our kids rave about their time with Andrea, especially when she does arts and crafts! She's very punctual, responsible, nurturing, and cooks a delicious cheese quesadilla (my daughter requests it everyday!). We are going to miss her dearly and recommend her to any family lucky enough to secure her talents.

I grew up in a big family. Big families make big messes. But we also have big hearts. I learned how to keep multiple children entertained through creative and imaginary means. I am a certified lifeguard, also certified in CPR, First Aid and WSI. I am an honor student and always enjoyed school. I like to be clean and tidy, but I know how to play and have fun. I am athletic and full of energy. Whether a child is outgoing and social, or shy and more reserved, I have the skill set and patience it takes to create a positive and unique relationship. I was a camp counselor for 5 years, and I have learned many different strategies for dealing with children of all ages. I also spent over 3 years, at the end of high school and beginning of college, working as an assistant teacher in the infant and toddler classroom. For almost 10 years now I have enjoyed and very successfully worked with individuals with special needs. I was inspired many years ago to begin teaching group dance classes for children with special needs. It was such a success, and lead to me create, and teach two other classes. One for swimming, and the other, an art class. I was working and going to school full time, in the hopes of eventually getting a master's in childhood psychology. But, before I could finish, we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy of our own. He is thee months old as of October 12th. We had initially thought that I would be able to stay at home with him for a while. Unfortunately that is no longer a possibility. I was initially overwhelmed with the idea until recently, it was suggested to me, to look into being a private nanny/childcare provider while I finish my education. I have years of experience paired with a proper and continuing education into childhood development. Plus, I have a unique social advantage to offer. I would be bring my son along with me. Nannies and home childcare is a wonderful option. But it can be socially restricting, especially for a single child home. I am able to provide you with not only a responsible, kind, caring and knowledgeable care giver, but also a friend and learning companion for your child. I think that this could be a very positive experience for the right family. I hope to hear from you soon.
