We are seeking a motivated, safety-conscious tutor/caregiver to our kids' (age 4 & 7) learning at home during 2020/2021 academic year. The curricula to supervise will come from our school district and will be a mix of virtual classes the kids need to attend at specific times and work to be completed independently. Given the district is planning to use digital platforms to deliver curriculum you should reasonably be comfortable with making an online call or navigating things like google suite. After the assigned school work is done, it will need to be supplemented with recess, reading activities, arts/crafts for the remainder of the day. Hello, Another family and I are looking for alternatives for our children in terms of them receiving the necessary help during their virtual schooling. We have 5 kids total with 3 3rd graders, 1 2nd grader and 1 1st grader. We are also looking to split the days; 2 at our house in Castro Valley and 2 at theirs in Hayward. We are still undecided in terms of times so that may change but we are looking for a few hours Monday thru Thursday where you can help them with their asynchronous learning and monitor them during breaks. He is great at math, but is behind grade level on reading and writing. Your tutoring will be essential to complement the school's program to help him get back up to speed. You must excel at tutoring school-age children, keeping them focused on task, and you must also be adept at working the full variety of subjects a 2nd grader covers. We are somewhat flexible on days of the week and times of the day, but we do need someone who can cover the bulk of the morning on school days. You will conduct tutoring at our home.

Our youngest son (6) has autism, struggles with reading comprehension, and needs a visual learning style to be engaged. Middle son (8) requires motivation and needs help with writing and spelling, but is great with math. Our oldest (11) needs someone to review homework and talk him through mistakes, problem solving. Interested in 1. 5 to 2-hour in-home sessions, a few times a week in Castro Valley, and can start 1:1 with our youngest for mutual trial to ensure the right fit for tutor and family. Weekday afternoons between 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. preferred.
