My family moved to this area very recently from Chattanooga as my husband started working as an attorney in the General Attorney's Office,. We have a child who is in elementary school and we have various pets, including dogs, fish, and a guinea pig. I worked in my husband's law firm for almost 10 years and a few years ago we had a discussion about me leaving the firm to work as a senior caregiver.
This was a job (career?) I thought I might enjoy. I began working for the best agency in Chattanooga and I immediately loved and adored it! My husband knew it was the right fit for me, because I was so happy at home. I am a caring person and get so much joy from assisting others, anticipating their needs, and making them happy. My one, great thing in life is connecting with people, and I got to do this on a daily basis. We are now moved and settled in and I am ready to find the right family and work for them, helping them care for a loved one.
As a caregiver in my previous position, I cooked meals for folks, gave them medicine reminders, bathed them, cleaned up around the home, did laundry, took them do doctors appointments, went to dinner with them, shopped for and with them, and watched all sorts of great movies on the Turner Classic Movie channel. I am a big fan of music from the 30s-50s and we would often keep the radio on, listening to those classics. Honestly, I kept them company and listened to their fabulous and sometimes, heartbreaking stories. I hope this gives you a little information about me. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
