My grandmother underwent lung surgery in April, rehabilitated in a transitional care facility, and recently returned home to Huntley, where she lives alone. Her 5 children and 2 sisters have commuted before and after work to assist with her daily care for the past several months. We need a dependable and compassionate individual to serve as both a companion and caregiver to assist us with her care. My grandmother loves to bake, golf, and play cards. Minimum 3 years experience preferred. No degree or certifications required. Responsibilities include: medication prompting, assistance w/ daily breathing treatment, light housekeeping, occasional meal prep, and potential for transportation for errands or appointments. She can currently dress, bath, and eat independently, but it is preferred applicant is open to future needs.
