Hi, I have been teaching children and adults music for over 25+ years. My experience includes private lessons, directing children and adult choirs, and teaching/substituting for private and public schools. I can tutor all subjects K-8. The first lesson is free then I charge $25 for 30 minutes, $47 for 45 minutes, $50 for an hour and an addition $15 a month to come to your house. online lessons available. For music lessons, the new piano method (Faber Piano Adventures) recommends beginner students have 2 lessons per week for the first year. For those who take 2 lessons a week, there will be a discounted rate.

Hi! I am a reliable and trustworthy teacher and nanny who relates and connects well with kids of all ages. I am just moving back to the Seattle area after living in Hawaii for 3 years. I have been teaching middle school math for those 3 years, while also nannying for families visiting the island. Previous to that, I was a full-time nanny for an amazing family while also working as an "on-call" nanny on the weekends. I have nanny experience with ages newborn-middle school, and have teaching and tutoring experience in reading, science, and math at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I did running start in high school and received my associates from Everett CC. I then went on to Whitworth University where I graduated with a BS in biology and a minor in biochemistry. I was intending to become a pediatrician. I was a volunteer tutor in college for elementary school children, and have tutored adults in math, science and computers. I am patient and know many different ways to teach various subjects for those who learn differently. I have two daughters ages 2 years and 1 year. I have been a caregiver for adults with mental and physical disabilities, as well as for the elderly dealing with memory loss.

I first started tutoring others when I was in 6th grade. When I was in high school I was always two years ahead in math and began to tutor middle school students as a way to make extra money. While I haven t been hired as a tutor for years I have fulfilled the duties of a tutor on a daily basis in various Nanny positions. Most recently being caring for a 12-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy. The 12-year-old and I would review homework on a daily basis and work on English assignments together (her least favorite subject). I also did daily homework check-ins with the 14-year-old but he was/is a stellar student and did not require as much monitoring. I am most comfortable tutoring grades K-8 all subjects.
