About Athena

I completed 2 years at college as an Elementary Education major. I opted to change course because I struggled with the "assembly line" education system we have in our country. Hence, it is no surprise that we decided to homeschool! My oldest three children graduated at 17 with their associate degrees. It is imperative that we discover how children learn best. I love to find creative ways to teach any and all subjects. Over the past 20 years I've taught individual children, as well as small and large groups on a regualr basis. My goal as a tutor is to help children and parents reach their educational goals--and to have as much fun as possible while doing it!
