Lindsay And Stephanie

400 Sunset Court South Charleston, OH

< 1 mi

Hi. My name is Lindsay. My friend Stephanie and I run an In-Home Childcare business from her home in South Charleston. I have my Master's in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's in Arts and Sciences (Theatre). I have over 12 years of teaching experience. Stephanie has 14 years of teaching experience. I also have six years of nannying experience. We love all of our kiddos (ages 12 months-11 years) in our care like family. We are tons of fun, have LOTS of fun toys/materials, and engage in ALL the messy learning activities. A few of our older kids are preparing to go to kindergarten, and we would LOVE to have some new amazing friends fill their spots. Please contact us if you are interested in this type of learning environment for your little ones. We would love scheduling a time for you to come meet us and our kids.

PRE-SCHOOL DAYCARE: Preschool Daycare M-F. Hours 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Ages: 3-6. In-home facility in Springfield, OH on Rocky Point Road. 45502, just a few miles from Yellow Springs and Enon, OH. Newer large ranch home with finished child ready playroom in the basement and an acre of backyard play area complete with swings, sand box, slides, teeter-totter, bounce house, and all sizes of tricycles, bicycles and scooters. We also have a child's above ground pool that comes to about half your little one's chest. Though it is 100% secure and watched, I also have life jackets for every size of child. (Parents approval for using.) For outside play, I have all equipment for playground activity for every type of weather. MOST IMPORTANT: I work at the level of skill set of each child. As a parent, you'll be excited at the immense number of workbooks and flash cards we use daily to learn the alphabet, phonics, site words, spelling, etc. I also work on critical thinking skills which advances children to develop positive decision abilities. Besides workbooks to teach, I also use tablets, countless games, puzzles, and crafts to help. Additionally, I also have Disney costumes for creative play and for YouTube dance lessons. From all of these things, your children will also develop the values of learning to play together, being honest, making good decisions, caring about each other and to share. My schedule is flexible daily but by the end of the week it works itself out for a well-balanced experience. Children who come to me with a foundation of good parental guidance and are past the separation anxiety of parents needing to leave, will be thrilled with the one-on-one care I give. I treat all children as if they are my grandchildren. We do birthday parties, may take a mini road trip to a park, the library, and even the Columbus Zoo. I spoil them with love and non-stop attention. I'm the child caregiver I wish I would have had when I was young. Most children don't want to leave by the day's end. If you are truly looking for a caregiver and not just a babysitter, you should come to my home and meet me. If you want your child to experience a safe and loving environment, contact me. If you're looking for a place that will individually teach each child all they need to know to be prepared for kindergarten, call me. Thank you for your consideration! Sincerely, Larraine Boyd. 614-314-5948

Learning and development are emphasized at Smart Start Academy. We keep little minds, hands and bodies busy in many ways. Our goal is to help them to feel independent, learn how to be courteous to adults and other children, and to be fascinated by the world around them. When a child has a strong self-esteem and a lively curiosity as a result of a good home life and day care experience, then he/she will be eager and able to take on the challenges of school. Pre-reading/ writing and math skills are taught daily through age appropriate activities. Our staff attend workshops and have been trained in an excellent preschool curriculum.
