SPECIAL OFFER
All full time care (40+ hours) will receive breakfast, lunch&2 snacks per day. Kindergarten age part-time care will receive a lunch or breakfast and 1 snack. Full time students who arrive before and after school will receive snacks after school.
About the business
PRE-SCHOOL DAYCARE: Preschool Daycare M-F. Hours 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Ages: 3-6. In-home facility in Springfield, OH on Rocky Point Road. 45502, just a few miles from Yellow Springs and Enon, OH. Newer large ranch home with finished child ready playroom in the basement and an acre of backyard play area complete with swings, sand box, slides, teeter-totter, bounce house, and all sizes of tricycles, bicycles and scooters. We also have a child's above ground pool that comes to about half your little one's chest. Though it is 100% secure and watched, I also have life jackets for every size of child. (Parents approval for using.) For outside play, I have all equipment for playground activity for every type of weather.
MOST IMPORTANT: I work at the level of skill set of each child. As a parent, you'll be excited at the immense number of workbooks and flash cards we use daily to learn the alphabet, phonics, site words, spelling, etc. I also work on critical thinking skills which advances children to develop positive decision abilities. Besides workbooks to teach, I also use tablets, countless games, puzzles, and crafts to help. Additionally, I also have Disney costumes for creative play and for YouTube dance lessons. From all of these things, your children will also develop the values of learning to play together, being honest, making good decisions, caring about each other and to share. My schedule is flexible daily but by the end of the week it works itself out for a well-balanced experience.
Children who come to me with a foundation of good parental guidance and are past the separation anxiety of parents needing to leave, will be thrilled with the one-on-one care I give. I treat all children as if they are my grandchildren. We do birthday parties, may take a mini road trip to a park, the library, and even the Columbus Zoo. I spoil them with love and non-stop attention. I'm the child caregiver I wish I would have had when I was young. Most children don't want to leave by the day's end.

Although I come from an executive world with many awards and accreditation, I am now retired from that life. I am now in a position to do what I have really wanted to do for most of my life which is care for and educate children.
We have done extensive work in our home to meet the needs of all ages of kids. My goal has always been to build a daycare center in our home where children I care for could feel at home.
I have work books for every age from 3 to 12 to help children with their studies. My reading library is filled with good material to read and be read to. Flash cards and games are also part of our day.
Based on the ages I have, I offer a balance of playtime, learning, indoor and outdoor activity, and fellowship of personal growth through group and individual activity. As special incentive for kids to get their studies done and done well, we have the added bonus of an arcade area where kids can be rewarded for their efforts and play Ms. Pacman, Skeeball, Air Hockey, Bowling and more.
It's my love for children that makes the difference for this in-home center. Your child will receive the best of all worlds. I will happily send parents texts throughout the day which may include photos of your child or children so you can keep any eye on all that we do and offer.
At the end of the day, it's my hope we all feel like family and support each other with our time, care and education. I plan to keep my group small with no more than 5 children, but more likely 4 children. Your child WILL feel the special interest that an in-home center offers. I like to think of it as Grandma's Daycare Diner, where the food is good, education becomes fun, and we all care about each other as family. I am a Grandma and that is my accreditation and reward.
Oh! There is an accreditation from my next door neighbor boy I want to share. Although I don't babysit for him or his siblings, he boys come over often to either just hangout or play with whichever kids I'm caring for that day. He recently wrote me a card that I want to share with you. Here it is: ""Hi Neighbor. Thank you for all you do for us. Thank you for letting us come over and play, for cookies, candy, and the big campfire cookout. Also thank you for helping us pick of sticks and rocks in the yard. Love, M." He is in 2nd grade. He added a bunch of puffy stickers on the card as decoration. His kind words are a testimony that I cherish as an accreditation. (Thanks, M.!)

Larraine has exceeded our expectations for a babysitter. She has quickly become like family to us. She emphasizes learning and having fun in her home. My kids love going to her. One of my favorite things Larraine does is send pictures throughout the day of all the fun they're having and what learning they've worked on. She also details what they have for meals and snacks. Larraine cares for your kids like they're her own. Her home has every toy imaginable to keep kids entertained for hours. She also has a big backyard that my kids enjoyed during the warmer months. We would recommend Larraine to parents with kids of all ages. She is truly exceptional.

Larraine is an amazing choice for your child because she is one of the most loving and dedicated women I know! She always loved being with my brother and I when we were young, and now that I am an elementary teacher, I still can't think of a better choice!

Larraine is a dedicated and loving caregiver, but she is so much more than a caregiver/babysitter. She also educates and creatively entertains the children in both her personal and professional life. She educates children to be independant and confident, but also to be polite and kind as well. This is essentially a ministry for Larraine as she gives so much more value to each child and family than is commenserate with what she charges for her services.

We took our 1.5 year old there and have been here ever since. Open about issues that happen throughout the day. Considerate about personal needs and flexible with timing. A great opportunity for a child to get the care and attention they deserve.

Thank you, Alexander, for your review. You and your wife are perhaps the most attentive parents I've ever met towards their child. Your record keeping of the food I give your son, the number and types of diaper changes I do throughout the day, and the hours of sleep he gets each day unfolds as additional information to that which you already do with your own time with your son. You're both very impressive! I appreciate that you listen, as do I, when we are noticing a rash or a cough. As parents you research and respond by sharing and in the end, your son gets all the proper care he needs. In the past few months it has been our joy to give your son the confidence to get away from his crawling and blossom into a fast walk and run! The excitement in his face is what I look for when I dedicate specific time for specific growth. I smile appreciatively over even the small things that excites him from when I buy gadget toys from the Internet to increase his learning of colors and stacking toys in the appropriate peg holes. He becomes enthusiastically expressive from his successes! Lastly, I get the pleasure of feeling his affection grow as he allows me to hold and rock him. Just watching him run to me and/or my husband brings us a world of joy. I am appreciative that you have chosen me/us as his daytime care givers. Thanks also for appreciating all of the photos and videos I take of him throughout the day and send to you. I know that since you watch the videos, it helps you feel that day time closeness with him even though work keeps you separated during those hours. Since our families are out of state, it means even more to be a part of your family in this way. I'm not trying to replace any grandparent in my devotion to the children I watch, but know that I feel children are God's blessing to all of us and therefore I welcome and treat all children with a Grandmother's style of love.

When I moved to Ohio in 2019 it was extremely difficult for me to find the right childcare. Larraine and I spoke a lot before meeting and getting a feel of how her and my children would respond to each other. She was extremely open, honest, and had the patience of a saint when we met. It turned out to be so much more than that. Here we are nearing the end of 2020 and she has always been my go to. Larraine prepared all three of my kids for school ranging from pre-K to 4th grade, she helped with homework and tutoring, she has a HUGE variety of workbooks to keep their minds stimulated, she prepared them healthy meals and snacks, she has so many toys for the kids to choose from, and an amazing playground and yard. Through all of that and more Larraine is communicating with you! She sends me pictures when the kids are being cute and funny, when they complete an art project, or even when they're just enjoying their lunch. My kids have been to several daycares over the years, and I have never found one where me and my children were this comfortable. There are times where I have to bribe my kids to come home with me! Larraine has become a part of my family and honestly people like her are hard to come by.

I may be partial, but my Mom Larraine is a wonder child care provider. First, I know first hand she did a wonderful job with me, but I know she also does an amazing job with all kids. She is extremely patient and loving and takes the time to focus on specific needs of children to help them grow and learn and feel loved and accepted. I wish she lived closer (I'm a state away) otherwise my own daughter would be with her every day while I'm at work. She is amazing!

Wow- I never realized I didn't respond to my own daughter's reference for me. I think since you were the first one to write a review, I just didn't realize there was a response area. My bad! So please accept my apology in my reply. However, I'm so blessed to have a daughter that talks to me daily, even though we live in adjacent states, and who is my best life long friend. You have been everything I ever wanted in a daughter! We traveled the United States and abroad while you were growing up. We played together and learned from each other. I wanted to give you the world, and I tried! You are so worthy of all the happiness you have and will continue to have. With so much love between us and then you brought me a granddaughter! I am blessed! I love and miss you all deeply, as well as your foster children! Indeed you have learned as I have learned, nothing brings more joy to our lives than children. You are amazing as a parent! One of the best things is that you have more today to give than I did back then because I was a single parent. Though I did well in my career and had the financial means to spoil you, we didn't have the technology we have today. You are the example I wish I could have been because you're able to document every detail, no matter how small of Makenzie's and the other children's lives. With digital phone cameras handy at all times you have literally 1000s of photos that you upload constantly, put into Shutterfly and create on-going photo and memory books to last a lifetime. You inspire me! I've followed your lead with some of the kids I've babysat for longer than a year and made books of their photos for their parents to enjoy. Fun as that is, I regret we don't live closer so I could make my version of fun with Makenzie! Thank you too for letting me have Makenzie in Ohio for a few days at a time occassionally so she can play with the kids I watch. I want them to know my granddaughter and my granddaughter to experience fun at Grandma's house. It's my goal to make everyone feel like real family!
