In-Home daycare
My Name is Amanda. I am the founder and teacher here at Blue Bonnet Day Care. I am a Florida Native and mother to a wonderful little boy. I have struggled to find him a daycare he loved that I could afford. Mornings were hectic and worrying about drop off and pick up was a headache. My fiance and I both grew up in in-home day cares and I have decided to start my own! My goal here at Blue Bonnet is to prepare your little ones for Kindergarten with daily lesson plans and relieve the stress of expensive, time restrictive daycare. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your little ones! Check out our sites to see all the fun we have.

My name is Nichole, I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a focus on child development and I have worked with children in various different settings (for example: group homes, case management, residential treatment facilities, etc.) for the past ten years. While attending my daycare, your child will have exposure to positive peer interaction, preschool and kindergarten prep, a consistent and nurturing environment, fun activities that encourage them to use their creative energy in an educational way, and child focused care that recognizes each of them as an individual with individual needs. Your child's day will consist of the following: *Music and art play *Story time *Letter, color, and number recognition *Fine and large motor activities *Encouragement to engage in self-play (free play) *Two outdoor play times/ 30-45 minutes each (weather permitting) with a water table, toddler swing set and slide, and a ride on track for trucks and big wheels. In addition, there is a large screened in porch for bug free play! *Lunch and two snack times. (Lunch, drinks, and healthy snacks provided!) *Nap time, depending on the child's age and individual needs. (Full size toddler beds and cribs. No mats!) My home exceeds all of DCF's safety requirements. I am Infant and Child CPR/First Aid certified. I also have an alternate/substitute caregiver who is a 30+ years' licensed nurse. Hi, I am a 42 year old married mother of 2 children and 3 step children. I am also a licensed nurse. I am hoping to be able to be a stay at home mother and be able to be more involved in my youngest daughters life who has just started full day kindergarten. I am looking to care for children in my home in Deltona. We have a large 4 bedroom home with daycare room on the main living level. I have toys and educational items in my home to entertain and guide your children. I truly love children and will not be making any new life changes at this point so my care will be as long term as you desire. I provide a clean calm healthy environment for your child. I am also a licensed nurse in the state of Florida so I offer a small peace of safety and comfort knowing your child is in the hands of a skilled and qualified nurse. In order to become a nurse here in Florida I had to have multiple level 2 background screenings done for criminal courts and fingerprints. So my background is clean for your comfort. I wish you the best of luck in your search for the perfect person to care for your perfect gift. I hope to hear from you soon and thank you for taking the time to review my profile.

We offer a FULL TIME SCHOOL YEAR ONLY program that encourages independence, strong academics, and a lifelong love of learning. Children have freedom to make choices about their education. We ensure they include all areas of the classroom for a well rounded education, but they select their own work throughout the day. When given the opportunity, children naturally develop a strong work ethic, make good decisions, solve problems and become creative and independent thinkers. Montessori students thrive in a positive environment where children are respected. Each day, children will engage in lessons, one on one, with the teacher. When not in a direct lesson, children will select the areas of the classroom they would like to work in. The Montessori materials teach the concept behind the skills they are learning, which helps them retain that material on a deeper level. The younger children work with find motor skills in many lessons, and all lessons are taught left to right, top to bottom. These are the building blocks they need for writing, which will lead to reading. Since each lesson is one on one, the child can move through their areas of strength quickly, and can take their time in areas that may be more challening for them. The Garden areas are loved by the children. They help with weeding, watering, harvesting, planting, caring for our chickens and rabbit, feeding the wild birds and squirrels, crafting, science, and more. At age three, children will have Music and Yoga twice a week. Many of the four year olds (as long as they are ready) and everyone in Kindergarten and older, go to Spanish twice a week. Parents provide snack and lunch. For snack, each family brings it for the class, for the week, one or two times each school year. You will recieve a list of what to bring prior to your snack week.
