(3)
My goal is to work with youth and families in order to support the holistic needs of children and foster developmentally appropriate growth in every aspect of their person. Also, to continually be an example of loving characteristics in order bring up a generation of individuals who will be advocates of love and truth in the world. I am competent in all aspects of childcare including developmentally appropriate practice, teaching, behavioral management techniques, health and safety regulations and procedures, and a holistic view of the child. I can do lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, create a basic daily schedule following children interest, sleep, and eating patterns, and filling it in with appropriate activities to match. I am a team worker. I work with parents, whose opinions and ideals are respected above all, consider me an assistant to the parents. I am also willing to work with other caregivers closely, along with the children themselves to create the most positive atmosphere and experience, to learn from and with others, to teach when appropriate, and to keep a most necessary consistency and predictability which fosters a sense of security and ability to grow for the children in our tender loving care. Familiarization with environment (House, Neighborhood, Parks, etc) to ensure safety, and make best use of space for play and learning. I will promote learning through play by setting up interesting play centers and activities, and taking children to other environments such as a park, library, or museum. I work in conjunction with parents to ensure the best care for their child's physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Communication including daily reports at the end of the day, charts, journalism, emails, phone calls, and time to just sit down and talk about each child in a holistic manner. Light cleaning related to children including: dishes, tidying up, cleaning dirty surfaces, and even the child's laundry if necessary, or asked. Letting family dog outside and in again and giving dog water/food when necessary.
