I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful girls, a 4 year old and a 1 year old running an in-home daycare near Ft. Miami Elementary School. The objective is to provide children with the attention and care they need in order to be well prepared for preschool. This is a small operation that includes toddler yoga to start our day, healthy lunches and snacks, preschool prep (activities to help learn colors and how they are made, alphabet, numbers and site words) and routine development. This helps children better prepare for the structured day of preschool. Help with potty training is also part of the program including different tricks to get the child interested in going potty without reward with things like chocolate or fruit snacks (food coloring in the toilet tank so when they flush it changes the color of the water). I also carry liability insurance for the daycare. Please contact me if you would like to set up a time to meet and see the house!

I have been taking care of children since I was 10 years old. I have 4 children of my own and I have been a nanny for several families. I ran the daycare at my church for many years and am currently providing part-time care in my home. I love children and have always had a baby in my life to care for and am ready for another newborn to love and nurture. I am fully equipped, all you need to bring is your baby and a diaper bag. I am flexible with days and times, but I prefer 2-3 days a week. I know CPR and have cared for a child with Type 1 Diabetes. Thank you for your consideration.

Welcome to Bee Creative Daycare! At Bee Creative Daycare, we offer a nurturing and educational environment for children from 6 weeks to 13 years old. Our classrooms are tailored to meet the developmental needs of each age group, ensuring that every child receives the care and learning experiences they need to thrive. We are pleased to accept both JFS and private payments, providing flexible options for our families. Here’s a glimpse of what we offer for each age and classroom: Infant Room (6 Weeks to 12 Months) In our Infant Room, we focus on providing a safe and loving environment where your little one can begin their journey of exploration. Our caregivers engage in activities that promote sensory development, such as tummy time, music, and gentle interaction, to support your baby's early milestones. Toddler Room (1 to 2 Years) Our Toddler Room is designed for active exploration and early learning. Children are encouraged to develop their motor skills through play and physical activities. We introduce basic concepts like colors, shapes, and simple words. At the age of 2, we also begin potty training, offering guidance and support as your child embarks on this important milestone. Preschool Room (3 to 4 Years) In the Preschool Room, our focus shifts to preparing children for the academic and social demands of school. Our Pre-K program covers essential early learning topics, including numbers, letters, shapes, and social skills. We also work on developing fine motor skills, such as writing letters, numbers, and names. Children will engage in activities that foster creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. Pre-Kindergarten Room (4 to 5 Years) Our Pre-Kindergarten Room is where children continue to build on their foundational knowledge. We emphasize sight words, advanced number concepts, and early reading skills. Social development is key, with activities designed to encourage teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. By the time your child completes our Pre-K program, they will be well-prepared for the transition to kindergarten. School-Age Program (6 to 13 Years) Our School-Age Program provides before- and after-school care, along with engaging activities during school breaks. We offer a variety of educational and recreational activities to complement your child's school curriculum. Homework assistance is available, and we also focus on life skills, such as responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. Our program ensures that older children have a safe and enriching environment to grow and develop.

West Side Montessori is an independent, accredited Montessori school educating children 13 months through 8th grade (preschool, kindergarten, elementary school and middle school). We are one of the leading private schools in Toledo, and the nation. We believe that each child is unique and capable. We believe in nurturing the whole child by creating a community where the heart of the child is as important as challenging the intellect. We believe that the community of the child, parent, and educator is the foundation of the school's success. Our Mission West Side Montessori is a family-oriented educational community engaging and inspiring children to discover their potential within an environment promoting mutual respect, social responsibility, natural curiosity, and a love of learning. Ideally, each child has the same teachers for multiple years. This gives teachers the opportunity to truly know and understand each child and determine how to both entice and engage children in the learning process. Montessori educators carefully prepare their classroom environments to allow each child to construct his/her own learning. The children gain confidence over time, unlocking their potential and setting them on a path of discovery for life. The school engages families in the learning process for each child. Expectations for parent involvement and responsibilities are detailed in the School/Parent Partnership Agreement that each family signs annually. Parents observe, volunteer, attend parent education programs and child development classes, and receive regular communication via the online weekly newsletter and blog posts. WSM, in conjunction with the Parents' Association Coordinating Committee (PACC), provides numerous opportunities for involvement in special events and programs. Teachers and parents often communicate via email or telephone. At West Side Montessori the "prepared environment" includes a culture of mutual respect that encourages children to take responsibility for their own behavior and learning, including taking appropriate risks. Children are empowered to make choices and decisions, practice leadership, and engage in the world beyond our walls. The balance of freedom and responsibility practiced at West Side Montessori sets our students on the path to seek and love learning.
