My name is Amanda, I'm the mother of 2 wonderful children ages 4 and almost 2. I have my hands full right now as I am in the process of opening a daycare in my home with my good friend, Carrie, as my business partner. She has 2 beautiful girls ages 9 months and 4 years. We are currently enrolling 6 weeks to Pre-K (and older siblings during the summer). We will be open 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday. We offer a loving, home-like environment with a preschool atmosphere. We will have daily learning activities, free play, outdoor play, and arts and crafts where the focus is on the process and not the end result. Babies and toddlers are included in all group activities and get the chance to explore their world in a safe and loving environment. We will be fully licensed by the state of Nebraska and involved in a government food program to meet USDA guidelines. I am a nurse, currently working part-time in the ICU of a local hospital. My partner is a SAHM who has previous experiences in child care. I am currently certified in BLS (Basic Life Support - infant, children, and adults), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and will be PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certified in July. Carrie is currently working on her degree in Psychology and getting certified in CPR and first aid. I'm really looking forward to this BIG step. It gives us both a chance to be with our children and offer them an environment that enhances their growth and development.
