30+ Years Of Caring For Children And Adults With Special Needs
Responds within a few days
I most recently cared for a very dear and sweet little lady for over a year in her apartment in Nashville. She had become, to me, a very special part of my life. Whether I was working a 12 to 14 hour shift caring for all of her daily needs, or at my own home, I was brainstorming how to better serve this little lady. When she passed away, I was there at the foot of her bed, along with all of the others who cared so deeply for her. I also cared for my father the last four years of his life. This was an important opportunity for me to nurture the man who had loved me every day since I was born. I am experienced in taking blood pressure, medication management, checking blood sugar levels and giving injections of insulin. I am retired after 25 years of working in Special Education at Grassland Middle School in Williamson County. My gifts lie in caring for those who cannot care for themselves. I am a mother of 4 grown children, with the youngest, a special needs 30-year-old son, who lives at home with me. I am the grandmother of "12", ranging in age from 7 years to 6 months. If you have a loved one who needs tender loving care and someone who really will look out for their comfort and health, please consider me. I will not only come into their home and make each moment a little more comfortable, but I will show them the respect and love they desperately need. I will go to their nursing home, or the hospital, to make sure your loved one is being fed their meals and has adequate attention during a stay away from home. If your loved one wants to grocery shop or has a doctor's appointment, I am ready to take them. If you or they are in need of "peace of mind", I can help to bring about that sense of peace. I keep detailed logs of our time together and want the families I help to always be fully informed. Please feel free to contact me if you believe I can help!
