Hello families! If your student needs help this school year, I'm here for them! As a former substitute teacher, I've worked with students in grades first thru high school. My primary subjects are Math (algebra, geometry) and English, though I've worked with students outside of those subjects as well. College students, I can even help you too (psychology, sociology, writing)! Does your child need help with organization and how to structure their homework schedule? I incorporate a bit of mentoring into the sessions to help with time management and other focus areas. Currently, I work with students from across the U. S. via online (with much success) and in-person! Over online, I screen share to review topics and use a whiteboard to explain concepts. Need notes? I can provide those too! During the Pandemic, Samatha created a plan to help our new to homeschool 8th grade son. She used Khan Academy at our request so that we could shadow the work she and our son were doing on the days she didn't tutor. He is very self-driven and didn't need a lot, but did need motivation. Sam brought it. 2 years later he is doing very well. However I believe if we hadn't hired Sam he would not have returned to public school as strong as he did in his 9th grade year. We worked with Sam virtually. She was punctual and even gave us a breakdown of how he was doing with her.
