About Mary

Hi! My name is Mary, and I'm currently a third-year college student at the University of Denver. I've been tutoring students in math and literacy for over five years. I got my start as a volunteer tutor with WhizKids, where I worked one-on-one weekly with elementary students (kindergarten- 5th grade) helping them build confidence and foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. In addition to my work with younger students, I've also tutored middle schoolers, focusing on strengthening their understanding in core subjects and helping them stay on track academically. I believe that learning should be encouraging and empowering, which is the core of my tutoring approach!
