About Robin

Empowering students drives my approach to education. I have been a certified teacher in APS for 21 years and have taught all subjects in grades K-5th. My passion is math and early literacy. I have a Master's degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. Currently, I work with English Language Learners K-5 and coach classroom teachers. My middle school experience comes from tutoring my own children when they struggled. I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine understanding of concepts rather than simple memorization. My goal is to help students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ensuring they succeed long-term. By actively listening and observing how you interact with new material, I can tailor my methods to fit your specific needs. Witnessing students achieving their goal remains the most rewarding part of my work. Whether we meet at your home, a library, or online, I look forward to working with you.
