Review for Tia R. We LOVE Tia R. . We call her TIA R. because she’s practically family. She’s been watching my son since he was about 6 months and he is now 14 months and he loves her. We call also call her our “fairy godmother”because she successfully introduced our son to the crib with greater success than we did. For a while, she was the only one able to successfully get him to sleep in it and thanks to the positive response to the crib due to her touch, we were able to crib train our clingy little guy. The light housework that she (some of the baby’s laundry, dishes, etc.) does has also been a lifesaver for my entire family. She genuinely cares for our son. She goes above and beyond even sharing some of her papaya from her lunch when she notices our little guy constipated and we don’t have prunes available, which we have found—thanks to her sharing her lunch—to be effective. She even attended his first birthday party even though she was in Mexico spending time with family who had travelled to visit. I love how she also open to feedback and to learning. After not having seen her for the summer (I stayed home all summer as I work at an elementary school), she asked if there was anything we’d like to see done differently, what worked, what didn’t. Although, I responded with “nothing” and just gave her a big hug. We have a miniature schnauzer and she does great keeping an eye on him too, showing him love while maintaining safe boundaries between him and the baby. Both boys have sensitive food allergies and Tia R. is very careful about what both of them eat, making sure our pup doesn’t have any access to any food that might fall on the floor (in case there’s something in it that he’s allergic to), making sure to keep the floors clean from food particles. I can’t say enough about how much we value and are grateful for her.
