I'm Elvia! I am a mom of 3 adult women and grandma to two beautiful children. I have been working with children for the past 18 years not including my own experiencing as a mom. I am CPR and First Aid trained. 

I am an ex preschool teacher that due to Covid sadly had to stop working in a school setting. I have been working for a couple since March of 2020 who are both pediatricians and I am enjoying having the one on one experience. Taking all my years of knowledge and passion for children and bringing it into a home. 

I'm looking to help you on the weekends or date night. Please reach out with any questions. I am also fully Covid vaccinated.

Elvia is amazing! Not a lot of nannies I have hired can handle all 3 of my kids at once. I have a 6 year old, 5 year old and a 7 month old and they all love her. 

My baby in particular is very needy and even cries with her grandparents. I am always nervous leaving my baby with anyone but Elvia reassured me everything will be ok and was so patient with my baby. She text me while I was out to give me updates with photos because she knew I was nervous leaving her. It made me feel much better. Now that she has watched my baby a few times, my baby knows her and doesn't cry with her anymore. I am so grateful. 

Elvia is awesome! She was on time and very professional. I felt very comfortable with her from the start. My boys had so much fun with her. She even gave me an update on how they were doing while I was at work. We will definitely be seeing her in the future!

Elvia looked after our 10mo baby girl in our hotel room while we attended a wedding. Elvia was amazing! She was warm, punctual, communicative, and really great with our baby. She was a better babysitter than we had even hoped to find, and I wouldn't hesitate to call her again next time we are in San Diego.

Elvia was amazing with my toddler and 10 year old boys. My younger son responds to Spanish and it helped him feel safe with her. She made both of my kids feel comfortable like no other sitter I've hired from care has before. I hired Elvia for a date night, I will be hiring her again and again. She also went above and beyond by washing bottles I had left in the sink for myself. It was a breath of fresh air for me in the morning realizing I didn't have to do them.

Elvia is great, she arrives early, engages our son and leaves the house cleaner then she found it.  She is very professional.  Our son has a great time playing with her and requests she come back.  She also takes the time to do writing lessons with him and take him outside.  She's watched him 3 times already and we've scheduled some more times for her to come back.  Thanks Elvia!

My family loves Elvia. My 4 years old energetic boy had a good time. She and my son did all kinds of fun activities such as drawing and reading. She made everything fun and kept everything on track such as washing hands regularly. Zero screen time needed. She's magic! Will definitely have her to be with my son again.

Elvia, what an amazing babysitter. I had a unique circumstance where I needed some help with my kids while on a visit to SD for a funeral of a family member. Elvia, helped with my children at the funeral and during the day leading up to it. Elvia, became a family member. We all loved having her positively during such rough time. She was punctual, flexible, and felt more like a family member than an employee. She got on floor and played with my children (she didn't just observe), she prepared meals and helped with bedtime. My kids loved spending every minute with her. On our next visit we will definitely be reaching out to her again. Thank you Elvia for putting a light in our eyes and hearts during such a dark time.

Elvia is very sweet good with the kids and a caring person very reliable! She has a very service-oriented approach and just wants to help very awesome!

Elvia was a great match for our family. I have two young boys and I could tell immediately when we first met that she just knew how to interact with children. They warmed up to her very quickly and my 3 year old didn't want her to leave! I felt comfortable leaving them in her care the night we had an event. She did dinner and bedtime routine. She was patient when there were tears from my littlest. I received updates throughout the night which also put me at ease. It was such a nice surprise to come home a clean kitchen and toys picked up, as previous sitters haven't ever cleaned up. We will definitely be having Ms. Elvia over again soon.

We were last minute in finding a child care provider. Elvia was available and even met with us a little earlier than the scheduled time so that we could get to know one another which made me feel very comfortable and at ease. My husband and I were able to share a great day out and Elvia was great with they kids. They were sad to see her go and I hope to work with her again in the future.

Elvia cared for my son A from the age of 1 year to 2 years old. Elvia was kind and patient with A. She was First aid and CPR Certified as well as educated in Early Childhood Development. Elvia made my son's health, safety and education a priority while he was in her care. Elvia was always easy to communicate with if I wanted updates on A's daily schedule or his overall development. I highly recommend Elvia and I would use her again as a nanny to my child.
