About Raquel

I'd describe my personality as caring, energetic, and curious! I like working with kids because I find kids extremely eye-opening and genuine and sweet. I think all children have something to say and I'm here to listen! I started working with kids in middle school, when I graduated from my religious school. I started working as a teacher's assistant, working directly with elementary aged students on reading and writing, as well as social-emotional situations. Since starting university, I've begun working as a para-educator for middle schoolers. This has given experience with difficult situations, as well as other age groups. I love love love art! I'm extremely passionate about it and have been learning about a lot of different mediums, and find nothing more fun than sharing and making art with other people!! I am also very into nature and love to hike.
