About Melissa

Hi! I have 4 years of experience working with children as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and 3 years of experiencing working as an Early Interventionist and with middle school students, including supporting kids with autism and different developmental needs. I enjoy engaging kids in activities, helping with daily tasks, and making sure they feel safe and supported. I'm looking for part-time or occasional opportunities and would love to connect! One thing you should know about me is I am highly-skilled in crisis intervention, extremely comfortable working with high-needs or special needs children, including engaging with clients who are non-verbal (use AAC or other communication methods or devices) and who may exhibit escalatory behaviors (i. e. tantrum, aggression, etc.) I am certified in QBS Safety Training and am highly adaptable to various needs. My skills include making things fun, communicating respectfully, and maintaining the utmost level of dignity whenever possible.
