About Maia

Hi! I'm Maia, I'm 19 and from Brooklyn, and I love helping kids feel more confident in school! I have years of experience working with children of different ages through babysitting, sleepaway camp, daycare, and one-on-one support. I'm patient, encouraging, and good at finding different ways to explain something when it doesn't make sense the first time. I know that schoolwork can sometimes feel frustrating or overwhelming, so I try to make tutoring relaxed, positive, and tailored to how each child learns best. I can help with homework, studying, organization, reading and writing, and general academic support. Most importantly, I want the kids I work with to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. My goal is not only to help them understand their work, but also to help them become more confident and independent students!
