About Lucia

Hello ! I'm Lucia a second year student pursuing a degree in English from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. I've always loved working with children and plan to pursue a masters in Education. I have over 5 years of experience as a babysitter working with everything from toddlers to tweens and only children to 3+ siblings. I've also worked at Headfirst Summer Camps for the past two summers as an extended day and art and stem counselor where I was able to learn more about integrating education and play. I've also volunteered as a mentor for kids in the Williamsburg area with a focus on arts as an outlet for kids to express and deal with big emotions. As a caretaker I highly value communication and strive to keep those channels open when working with families. I'm also big on enriching activities whether it's crafts or getting outside for hands on play. I would describe my babysitting style in one word as adaptable, always working to meet kids where ever they're at .
