About Loraine

I have a degree in Environmental Science and Biology from UC Santa Cruz. This equipped me with college level reading, writing, science and math. I took many ecology classes followed by environmental education classes that taught me how to teach the science I've learned to children k-12. While studying for my degree, I worked at a local elementary school as a garden teacher and at natural bridges state park as a docent. At both of these jobs, I taught science to students k-12 through a very hands on experience. After graduating, I went on to work at an outdoor science school as a naturalist. Due to covid-19, I have transitioned to helping students with distance learning. I have worked as a care taker for a variety of children, including some with severe disabilities. I have CPR, FA and CPT training; I am equipped to work with a diverse group of children. I would love to share more about my experiences!
