About Leanne

I'd describe my personality as caring, patient and passionate. I like tutoring because I am able to see their strengths and use them to help them grow. I started tutoring when a family from my kindergarten classroom approached me and asked tutor their twin in the summer.. They could not believe the progress they had made over the year and didn't want the "summer slide". Quickly via word of mouth my caseload grew. In my spare time, I like to train my dogs, try new restaurants and hike. One thing you should know about me is I will work very hard to make your child successful. I enjoy working with children where the "typical learning to read style" has not been success. My skills include using data to create a learning plan, encouraging students to apply their learning to become self sufficient and expertise in my subject area. I have attended many additional hours of training in the learning to read process and I have even led several of my own reading trainings to other teachers.
