Certified English / ESL Teacher with Reading / Dyslexia endorsement. Masters in TESOL. For the past 24 years, I've been helping middle and high school students unlock their potential in the public school system. My approach focuses on building confidence and a love for learning in an engaging, supportive, and patient environment. I vary my teaching strategies and encourage open communication to best suit individual learning styles. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests and celebrating small successes. Communication is essential; I prioritize open dialogue with both students and parents. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I teach English, ESL, Test Preparation, and Study Skills, for elementary through college level students. I am comfortable tutoring in person or online. I have a car, am comfortable with pets, and would love to help your student achieve their goals!
