About Ruby

Hello! I am a certified ELA/ESL teacher with seven years of experience teaching in public schools. I have formally taught grades 4-8, and have tutoring experience with younger students as well. I excel at teaching reading and writing, including both phonics and higher level comprehension and expression skills. I have extensive experience working with English learners and students with disabilities, and love figuring out how to make things "stick" for each individual student! I am currently transitioning to be a stay at home mom, and am looking for part time tutoring work to stay connected to students and education.
