About Kate

I've worked with kids of all ages for the last 15 years both professionally and personally. I was a Subject Matter Expert in early childhood development for the Office of Child Care for the last four years, but just lost my job due to the Trump administration cuts. Looking to babysit and/or nanny while I transition in my career. I'd describe my personality as fun, caring, and free spirited. I like working with kids because they are so full of life and have their own unique interests and gifts. They bring joy to my heart and teach me so much about myself and the world. I started working with kids when I was in middle school, but I've worked with kids since college, where I started as a youth program coordinator. In my spare time, I like to exercise, spend time outside with my dog Saoirse, hang out with friends and explore new spots around Richmond. My skills include trauma responsive care, social emotional learning, and supporting kids with learning disabilities.
