For over 30 years, I have been helping students excel. I am a retired teacher with some graduate school experience. I focus on building confidence and fostering a love for learning. I empower students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I actively listen to students and observe their initial interactions with new material. I encourage open communication about what methods work best for them. I break down complex problems into manageable steps to build momentum. I also encourage curiosity through interactive discussions. Communication is essential for understanding student needs and setting clear expectations. It builds trust among student, parent, and me. I tutor English and History at the elementary and middle school levels. I find it rewarding to witness a student's "aha!" moment. I love helping students achieve academic goals.
