I have served as a head counselor for campers, ages 5 through 8, with visual impairments for the past 3 summers. Prior to being head counselor, I served as head lifeguard and assistant counselor for campers between the ages of 5 and 15. I have volunteered in school settings since high school, and many of these schools worked with children with special needs. I have found my experiences working with children with special needs extremely rewarding, and I plan on starting a career in the special education field once I am done with graduate school. I am comfortable with pets, am a nonsmoker, and can provide my own transportation. I will be available all weekdays except Tuesday afternoons since I will be attending graduate school.
