Hello! I have worked as a caregiver for the past ~8 years and have absolutely loved it. I have worked with several people with Downs Syndrome and two people with Autism as a caregiver. We worked together in order to accomplish each of their goals. I've worked on teaching them to cook, grocery shop, work on school work, exercise, balance their days, and build relationships. I have also worked as a camp counselor for a camp for people with special needs to attend. Here, I worked with three campers at a time with all different levels of abilities and did each of the activities the camp provided with them. I also volunteer each year at the Special Olympics as a chaperone. I chaperone a team from my hometown and the girls compete in swimming. I love working with people who have special needs and I have a ton of patience for it. I would love to help them achieve their goals!
