About Ava

My passion for working with children began as a young girl caring for kids in my church nursery. That early experience sparked my interest in helping young learners grow and develop. In high school, I joined Friends for Exceptional Children, a club dedicated to building friendships and working with students with special needs, which further strengthened my interest in education and inclusive learning. Today, I work as a special education paraprofessional at an elementary school, primarily working with students in grades K-2. In my role, I focus on supporting their academic development by assisting with instruction, reinforcing lessons, and helping students build foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. I am passionate about early childhood education and helping young students develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed in life.
