About Samantha

Hi! My name is Samantha, and I have a background in education, mentoring, childcare, and student support. I hold a Master of Divinity from Duke University and a B. S. in Biochemistry from Washington and Lee University. I have experience working with children and students in classroom, community-based, and caregiving settings, and I enjoy helping young people grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence. In addition to tutoring and homework help, I have childcare experience and value creating a calm, dependable, and engaging environment for children of different ages. I enjoy building supportive relationships with kids through conversation, creative activities, reading, outdoor play, and academic support. My approach is patient, warm, and encouraging, and I strive to help children feel both cared for and capable as they learn and grow.
