About Kai

My name is Kai , I'm a psychology student at UAB wanting to pursue a career in children and teen's therapy. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old, I began helping out with the younger kids (4y-8y) martial arts lessons and fell in love with teaching. I have experience with children with special needs, pets with special needs, and infants. I love to cook (as long as it's not shellfish, I'm allergic) and would be happy to help out with meal planning. I'd describe my personality as patient, understanding, and curious. I like working with kids because helping a child learn or do something they're passionate about makes me happy. I have two younger brothers that other children constantly remind me of. I'm looking for a job that pays at least 15 an hour, and that I can work during the school year as well as the summer. My skills include emotional regulation skills to help calm a child faster, and I'm good at keeping kids entertained and engaged.
