About Amber

Hi! My name is Amber, and I love helping students build confidence and succeed academically. I hold a Master of Advanced Studies in Climate Science and Policy from UC San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a B. A. in Environmental Studies with minors in Professional Writing and French from UC Santa Barbara. I have several years of experience tutoring children of various ages, providing homework help, academic support, and study skills coaching. While living in Paris as an au pair, I also tutored children in the evenings, helping them with schoolwork and creating engaging learning experiences tailored to their individual needs. I specialize in reading, writing, study skills, organization, environmental science, and French language studies. My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping students truly understand concepts while building confidence in their abilities.
