About Jack

Hi, I'm Jack, a UC San Diego honors student majoring in Political Science/Data Analytics with a minor in Computational Social Science. I'll be pursuing my fully funded PhD in Boston this Fall. I tutor writing, reading comprehension, history, civics/government, social science, study skills, public speaking, and foundational statistics/data literacy. I previously served as a Teaching Assistant/Co-Instructor in Debate & Forensics, where I led workshops, graded assignments, and mentored students one-on-one. My background in research, writing, and data analysis helps me explain material in a clear, approachable way. My approach is patient, structured, and encouraging: I help students get organized, build confidence, and understand the material, not just finish the assignment. I work with all age groups, but focus especially with middle school, high school, and college-bound students, and I aim to be dependable, professional, and clear with families. I can't wait to get started!
