Companion Care Provider, Dementia Care, Licensed Certified Nurses Assistant

I am a Certified Nurses Assistant. Over the last 15 years I have attended to people's needs at home, and in assisted living facilities. I specialize in Dementia/Alzheimer care and am certified by the Alzheimer Association. A positive attitude and stimulating conversation are indispensable for proper care whether you need some one skilled in dementia care, companion care or a combination of both. Compassion, respect and patience are primary requirements for mental/cognitive health and well being under any circumstance. I have had years to learn and grow my understanding of the emotional and mental needs of the people I have been associated with and will bring to your family/friend my expertise. If you are in need of someone you can trust to care for your loved one as their own, then please feel free to contact me and we can discuss your situation further.

Melinda has been providing care to my mother for three years. When she first started with us she provided companionship, activities, and attended speech therapy, music therapy, doctors appointments and other activities with mom. As my mother's condition has progressed, she has transitioned to providing more of the day to day care- bathing, dressing, feeding, etc. Melinda has gone above and beyond in terms of providing ideas and suggestions for things that would make my mother more comfortable and doing research about her condition and other things we could do to make her more comfortable. I recommend her highly!

Hertha is truly one of a kind. It's hard to even put into short words how amazing and how much of a blessing Hertha was to our family. Hertha took better care of my Grandma then my family even expected was possible. She not only took care of all her medical needs above and beyond but loved her like no other. Hertha communicated with my family and I on an hourly basis with updates, videos and education on my Grandmas health. She became part of the family and we never had to worry for a second - we always knew my Grandma was getting the best care possible. If you are fortunate enough to have Hertha care for your loved one you will be blessed beyond measure to have such a professional, compassionate, loving and selfless person in your loved ones life. There is nothing Hertha can not do and with whatever obstacle may come her way she always finds a way to tackle it with the utmost grace and love. My family and I will forever be grateful for Hertha!

Extended Caregiver

For 6+ years I've had a learn as I go type of education serving patients and their families with Cancer, Dementia, Stroke, MS, and Parkinson's patients. Also working side by side w/ hospice nurses learning the process and procedures. I make it my personal goal to exceed the expectations to gratify the patient as well as their families. "But who watches the kids while we visit". That's me as I am all to familiar w/ kids. I have 12 nieces and nephews. 2 of which I am their godfather. It definitely takes an army. I'm #4 of 5 siblings. I don't feel like caregivers , in general, give our elderly the love and compassion that meet my personal standards. Always in communication w/ Doctors and nurses to follow their direction/instruction to satisfy to patient and their family. They will be treated like my parents as I did my Dad who lost a 3 year battle w/ Cancer, and Mom dealing w/ the effects of a Stroke. Thanks so much for your time and reading my Bio. Be well, JIM

Jim is a wonderful caregiver! He is very attentive to a person's needs for everything from daily care to household chores. He knows how to meal prep healthy meals, and has no problem leaving the kitchen sparkly clean when the night is over. His heart is definitely in his job- taking care of people is his natural gift! His thoughtfulness and sincerity has no bounds. I highly recommend having him help your family! He has helped mine immensely, and I am truly grateful for his presence in my life.
